Military warehouses with weapons. Dispose or store old small arms on army warehouses? Zone in Latvian forests: Motina Rocket Mine, Kekava, Latvia

Writes technolirik:

Today's post is dedicated to the object, which, despite the dense work of metalwors, is a high historical interest and until the 1990s was super secret, only 12 people from the Higher Polish leadership knew about the Soviet storage facilities of nuclear weapons, placed in Poland and the Soviet Union himself until Drew his death fact that it was located in Poland nuclear bombsAlthough NATO intelligence this was a famous fact in the 1970s. In this post, I will show it in detail what remained from the once impregnable military base, including the heart of the base - two underground bunkers in which they were kept atomic bombscapable of erased from the face of Europe. The post turned out to be volumetric and very interesting, so stockday and sit down comfortable.

Our object is located in the forest in the forest area. That the forest in these places is not easy, the Soviet concrete, departing from the highway - a clear sign that is more likely to hide something interesting. She will lead us to the goal.

Soon, the concrete ends next to the large platform site.

If you look at the unevenness of the relief, you can notice among the trees and bushes, man-made objects are clearly military destination.

Also, the forest is hundreds of meters around dust by testimonies of the military past these places.

The residues of the perimeter, which was triple here.

Also nearby the bunkers there are such pit, on the site of which have recently stood the buildings of the military unit.

Now it is already impossible to determine what kind of buildings were arranged.

The military unit was on the reserve of the Polish army until 2000, then the security was removed, and in 2009, 300 hectares of the territory, which was held by the part, were completely purified from all structures and concrete buildings.

Even foundations left for the buildings, so thoroughly the Poles cleaned the territory before the transfer of its forestry. Only numerous trenches, ships of barbed wire and a pair of bunkers - that's all that reminds about the once-defective military unit.

In addition to the perimeter, numerous firepoints and a concrete fence, the object around the perimeter was glad. From all of the above, it is one preserved to the present.

Something else can be found concrete bridges through the turn for the fare of technology.

In addition to two underground buildings of atomic weapons, there was another granite bunker. Actually, for the sake of him, we arrived here, but sighing dozens of hectares of the forest, we did not find the slightest signs of granite, which looked like this:

Only when preparing this post from Polish Internet sources, I learned that Granit was dismantled together with the rest of the territory of the part in 2009. Built the same "granite" was in 1975 from concrete tubes, sprinkled on top of the earth. From both sides, entering the inside of the storage facility closed massive broncesses. Granite diameter was 6 meters, 30 meters long. Inside stored tactical nuclear weapons - artillery shells With nuclear warheads of caliber 152 and 203 mm. Each of the three Soviet nuclear warehouses in Poland was equipped with a granite bunker in the mid-1970s.

To date, only two underground atomic storages are preserved from the former object, which is also dedicated to this post.

But I will begin with the history of the appearance of Soviet nuclear bases on the territory of Poland, which originates in the mid-1960s.

In 2007, Polish Defense Minister declassified documents of the Warsaw Treaty, among which a folder was discovered containing materials related to the "Vistula" operation. These materials contained evidence that 180 Soviet nuclear warheads were located on the territory of PRN, of which 14 had a capacity of 500 kilotons in Trotil equivalent (the bomb of Hiroshima had a power of 15 kiloton). In the case of a military conflict with the NATO block, the nuclear weapons were transferred to the Special Rocket and Aviation Parts of the Polish troops, which were supposed to strike in states entering the NATO block. These 180 nuclear warheads were stored in three repositories specifically worked for these purposes, one of which we will consider today.

Portals in storages are covered with soil, but in each of them there is a LAZ, through which you can easily penetrate inside.

The construction of nuclear weapons preceded in 1965 by the Soviet Union of Transportation Exercise nuclear charges To Western Poland in military operations. All options were tried - on the water, land and through the air and they all ended with failure. The road occupied too much time and the risk of transporting transport by the enemy was too high. After these teachings, it became obvious - atomic weapons It must be located in Poland next to the airfields and rocket parts to be prepared in the shortest possible time for use. After that, it was decided to build storage facilities for the Soviet nuclear weapons on the territory of the five countries of the Warsaw Agreement (ATS) - in Poland, GDR, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria and in Hungary.

In February 1967, the Minister of Defense of Poland Marian Spokelski (Marian Spychalski) and Minister of Defense of the USSR Marshal Andrei Grechko took place in Moscow, the result of which was the signing of the agreement on the construction of three arsenals for the storage of nuclear weapons in Poland. This document was super secret - only 12 of the highest military ranks were allowed to this secrecy in Poland, the names of which are stored in the folder with declassified documentation, and the Operation on the placement of nuclear warheads on the Western turn of the Empire received the code name "Vistula".

According to the ATS strategy and declassified documents, the East unit planned the first to apply nuclear strike According to NATO countries in the case of military conflict. According to the calculations of the Kremlin Strategists, Consturdar of NATO countries had to destroy up to 53% of the USSR troops and its allies. The Western boss of the Empire in the Third World War was given the honorary role to take over the first blow and turn into a "radioactive ash". For more than two decades, PND argued that he had no nuclear weapons on its territory and in international forums was actively achieving the elimination of American military bases with nuclear weapons in the territory of West Germany.

It can be seen that the bunkers are often visited by diggers - on the embankment, which closes the entrance, even built a kind of steps.

Based on the signed agreement, not far from the western border of Poland in the conditions of strictest secrecy in 1967-1970, three nuclear storage facilities were built, each of which was located near the military polygons in order not to attract unnecessary attention of the population. Each of the objects received its code name: 3001 was located near the Aviation Polygon Podborsko, 3002 next to the Brzeźnica-Kolonia polygon and 3003 Templewo near the Wędrzyn polygon. At the same time, such objects are built on the territory of other OVD countries - GDR, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Bulgaria, with which super secretary agreements also signed.

Warehouse storage "3000 series" were built by soviet projectsBut construction work was performed by Polish engineering troops, which they reported that they were building secret bunkers. The equipment inside the storages was delivered from the Soviet Union. Financial expenses on the construction of storage facilities, which were 180 million zlotys at the rate of 1970, took over Poland. After the end of work in January 1970, the prepared facilities were transferred to the Soviet Army and the Soviet nuclear arsenal was soon posted in them, which had already had twenty years. Each of such warehouses was designed for storing 60 nuclear warheads and was served exclusively by Soviet personnel. From 1970 to 1990, either one of the similar objects has steam the leg of the Pole.

Each of the two storage bins has a similar hall, through which can be seated without difficulty inside.

The territory of the base 3003 Templewo covers an area of \u200b\u200babout 300 hectares and in addition to storages, there are also barracks for accommodating service personnel and security, fuel storage, garages for transport and armored vehicles as well as room for leisure servicemen (sauna, cinema, etc.). Although in military materials, the base is officially referred to as an object 3003 templedwo, the Russians called it "wolfhound". The garrison of the object consisted of 60 officers and 120 soldiers of special forces. All this was fenced from the external world by the triple perimeter of barbed wire under voltage, between the rows of which the motion sensors were installed as well as trails for clocks with dogs carrying out the regular traverse of the perimeter. Inside the base of the base, numerous fortification structures were built, such as concrete dots with machine guns, rifle trenches and anti-infrastruent obstacles. In addition, inside the base space was divided into three sectors with a concrete fence with a barbed wire from above, around each of three storages, including "granite". Inside the base in case of the probable invasion of the enemy, 12 BMP-1 armored vehicles were located. All facility rooms as well as roads were covered with camouflage networks, and on the roof of the bunkers are planted coniferous trees. Thus, detect the location of the object from the air or from the satellite it was impossible.

In 2009, as part of the transfer of the territory of the base forestry, all the construction, except directly the repository themselves, were completely dismantled and there were no slightest trail. The way individual elements of the base looked in 2005, you can see the link.

The second bunker-repository is completely identical to the first and also poured soil in which the Zalaz is a breakthrough.

Both underground warehouses are located at a distance of 300 meters from each other in such a way that their longitudinal axes are perpendicular to. This is done to increase protection from the shock wave in the case of nuclear explosion Nearby. Thanks to this location, with whatever side, one bunker would have come, one bunker would have survived a nuclear strike if it did not come right in the part of the part. Containers with warheads were delivered to the warehouse trucks, and the ramps struck in front of the warehouses were used to load / unload the cargo to the store. Containers moved on trolleys manually. Given that the weight of the largest warhead was more than 500 kg, considerable efforts were required for their transport.

The conflict in Ukraine entailed the active spreading of weapons from the warehouses military units, MIA, SBU and other structures. The armament of self-defense forces in the east of Ukraine is especially careful in connection with the accusations of weapons supply from Russia. However, while in the arsenals of the militia, no unusual types of weapons are noticed.

Trophies from seats

This is the most common source of weapons for the militia. Armory rooms in army barracks, police departments, SBU, other power structures captured by self-defense forces in Lugansk, Donetsk, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk and other cities, contain a standard set of weapons, which we can observe today.

The basis, of course, make up Kalashnikov machine guns. AK-74, Sometimes AKM, Occasionally, the landing modifications of both of these machines with folding butts, as well as shortened AKS-74U - these "trunks" can be found almost in any gun former USSR From Lithuania to Kyrgyzstan.

This includes sniper rifles of Dragunov (SVD) and the two most common machine guns - the Kalashnikov machine gun modernized (PCM) under the 9.62x54 cartridge and the manual machine gun RPK-74 under the cartridge 5,45x39. His predecessor of the PKK under the cartridge 7.62x39 is much less common. In addition to manual machine guns, in army parts you can find large-caliber machine guns like DSHK or NSV.

In the same armory rooms, you can see Makarov's pistols (PM) and (in the case of the parts of the army or internal troops) anti-tank grenade launchers - RPG-7 or later disposable devices, known to inhabitants under the general name "fly". There you can also find manual grenades - RGD-5 of Soviet production are found in the photos quite often.

Trophies of arriving

The seizure of the six military vehicles of the landing from the 25th aerobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine gave militias their own armored vehicles, but the main thing is the ability to fight aviation. All BMDs were standardly equipped with anti-tank missile complexes ("Fagot" or "Competition"); In addition, at least four portable anti-aircraft missile systems (CRKK) with a margin of rockets, and some NMRK could be in captured machines, relies on each company.

However, judging by the information available, the helicopters in Slavyansk were shot down with the help of anti-tank managed rockets, grenade launchers and machine guns.

To date, almost 100% of the existing combat weapons The militias were obtained from these two sources, and if you judge the available photographs, there is nothing more than what could be found in the surrounding military units and units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the SBU, there are no opponents of the New Kiev authority. However, the arsenal accessible to the rebels called weapons is not exhausted.

Hunting and Sports

In Ukraine, including in the east of the country, the possession of the weapon is quite widespread. People acquire smooth-bore rifles for hunting, sports and self-defense, hunters and athletes with experience own and rack weapon. In total, according to various estimates, in private ownership in Ukraine is up to six million units of hunting and sports weapons, from ordinary smooth-bore rifles to enough rare and expensive rifles, including Ukrainian production.

Of course, some number of rifles purchased in hunting or sports purposes are also in the rebel cities. At the same time, if not considered enough rare rifles, for the battle against soldiers in body armor and helmet, such a weapon is suitable very conditionally.

Potential Klondike

After the collapse of the USSR Ukraine received a very rich military inheritance: the number of the army was about 700 thousand people. Nuclear weapon, thousands of units armored vehicles, more than a thousand aircraft, many millions of small arms units made Ukraine one of the most armed countries of the world. From the nuclear status, Ukraine refused in the late 1994 year, the Budapest Memorandum was signed, from most of the rest of the Soviet heritage - in the process of further reduction of the armed forces. Warehouses with armament of abbreviated parts, albeit largely sold out, are a real Klondike for those who will take advantage of them. However, the probability of capturing such a warehouse in the East is not too high: the bulk of Ukrainian military units is based on the Soviet infrastructure, placed, mainly in the western borders of the country. There are also the largest weapons warehouses.

There are almost no such warehouses in the east of Ukraine, except for Arsenal who became famous in March 2014 near Artemovsk, in the closed Soler mine named Volodarsky. Today's state of this warehouse is definitely unknown. It was reported that ukrainian army Trying to remove the weapon from there, but taking into account its transport opportunities, such an operation would take many months.

It is believed that this mine is located from one to three million units of small arms, including the weapons of the Second World War: Mosina rifles, PPS-gun guns, machine guns and others. It is unknown, from there or not, but one legendary "Maxim" appeared in Slavyansk back in April.

Strategic warehouses similar to Artemovsky, stressing production weapons from the 70s and 1980s to world wars, can provide its deliveries for civil War For many years, it should be borne in mind that the spreading of small arms is only part of the danger. At such warehouses, intended to equip newly deployed compounds in the case of a new big war, it is mainly stored without antiques of the time of the first and second world wars, but quite modern weapons produced during the years cold War. In addition to the actual arms, military warehouses can become sources of explosives, mines, managed weapons, including those mentioned above CRKK, and other deadly products. At the same time, there is no guarantee that in the case of further degradation of the Ukrainian state and power structures, to this product - up to portable anti-aircraft missile systems - there are no buyers from other warring regions.

All powders issued urgent discharge to laugh at the statement of Russian lawyers in the Hague court that "the militia found weapons in the mines." Ah-ah, I dare all.
Porch, dropping saliva when looking at the Roshen killence shown by him, rushed together to fulfill. Plots on television, articles, caricatures, posts on Twitter and social networks - in general, full propaganda set.
I just did not understand one thing: what is funny, saucepans?
Did you really tell you, no one told, for example, about the underground armory warehouses of Soledar, placed just in salt mines?

Well, yes, never a tank will not enter such a mine. She is small, bgg

These mines are kept millions of canned weapons units, starting with Maxim and PPS machine gunners (which I, by the way, also seen in the militia at the beginning of the conflict) and finishing AK-47.
In addition to Soledar, similar underground warehouses are, for example, in Artyomovsk, from where, in particular, the militia initially extended shots for "hails".
And this list of underground warehouses is not exhausted.

Underground Warehouse in Artyomovsk

There are still repositories of the state-made in soviet time. My Bath who served in Soviet army, told about multi-kilometer underground storage facilities, in which the trucks were loaded with everything, ranging from weapons, chocolate and stewing and ending with ice cream cow carcars.
They were created to overcome possible crises. And what is surprising that when the crisis has come, they were detached?
Are you still growing "weapons in mines, ahaha", fools of Maidan?

In addition, the weapon was taken from the warehouses of the military units of the Armed Forces located on the territory of the DNR and LNR. The garrisons disarmed, and the contents of the gears and garages went by militias.
Plus huge army warehouses near Lugansk. In early May 2014, from there, all the contents were taken out (now it is possible to tell), and then empty warehouses by agreement with the local officers blew up (for compliance with formalities, such as they did not give weapons to "separatists"). Ask in the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, that in these warehouses stored if I do not believe.

Plus the cartridge factory in Lugansk. The one who reports to Huntosmi repeatedly "sawed and taken to Russia." It continues to produce cartridges and shells.
Still funny, deceived fools?

The fourth source of replenishment of the militia weapon and technology is "Voentorg". But not a mystical Russian, but a real Ukrainian. The one, about whom Flashler told. When the ensigns of the Armed Forces could have been buying a BTR for 5 thousand dollars, and the tank for 10 thousand (wholesale discounts).
Then your idols, Pidriot, Avakov and Turchinov, launched a whole capsization, which of them will sell more weapons through their structures and the militia technique. I am still not sure which of them won. Continue to ride.

Well, the fifth source of technology is boilers. The "Lostarmore" portal recorded (with photos and video) 421 a unit of trophy techniques, which was militia from the boilers. Laugh, fools, why are you no longer funny?

As a result, only the colonel of information operations for information operations A. Rogers - dull powders again issued a broken technique again.

In the main defense department of the country, they declare that Russian weapons warehouses are literally filled with automata, sniper rifles and pistols that were produced more than 30 years ago. According to some reports, the number of small arms units located on military arsenals, in early 2012 amounted to about 16 million stems, of which about 35-40% developed their resource. Until the end of 2015, the agency Anatoly Serdyukov is going to dispose of about 4 million units of weapons.

Such was ambiguously perceived in Russia. Some people are confident that the preservation and increase in the number of small arms units in the country - the question national SecurityTherefore, no utilization mechanisms for the military arsenal are simply not appropriate. Others suggest that the disposal of old samples of small arms, which has developed its resource a decade ago, has long been abandoned.

There is a fairly remarkable opinion of experts, which comes down to the fact that the reduction in the number of units of combat small arms for 4 million is too small digit. It is necessary to carry out a more large-scale reduction, leaving no more than 3-4 million units in the spare arsenal.

All sides have their own arguments. Representatives of the first side are confident that the Ministry of Defense participates in a dubious project, which can affect the ability of the army to solve a whole range of tasks. The arguments in this case look as follows: weapon was created for the benefit of the Fatherland, and therefore its mass disposal is a blow to security russian armywhich may face the need to participate in a large-scale conflict.

The Moscow Komsomolets newspaper directly suggests that the large-scale disposal of small arms raised by the Ministry of Defense Russian Federation It is similar not to an episode of more than 100 years ago, when Military Minister Sukhomlinov signed an order in which it was allowed to dispose of about 400 thousand rifles of the Berdan No. 2 rifle. General-Adjutant Sukhomlinov in 1910 stated that this weapon only climbs the warehouses, and therefore it is necessary to either sell or dispose of it. However, after the beginning of the First World War, there were problems with the armament of the Russian army, which indicated the "launch of" V.A.Sumcholinov. Soon the head of the Military Ministry of Imperial Russia was arrested and convicted of the state impression. Apparently, the "MK" unequivocally makes it clear that the utilization of small arms of this time can lead to the same consequences as the disposal after the order of V.A.Sumlinov in the second decade of the 20th century.

Supporters of plans for the disposal of small arms, announced by Anatoly Serdyukov, are not inclined to dramatize. In their opinion, it is simply incorrect to compare the situation of 1910 and 2012, especially since we are talking about the disposal of the units of small arms developed its resource. According to these people, if the industry will not work on the real provision of the army, but to raise exclusively warehouses, and without replacing the old samples of weapons to new, then the modernization of the army does not have to speak.

Both positions are worthy of respect. Indeed, the constant storage of old weapons samples does not fit into modernization plans. However, before something is massively disposed of, it is necessary to conduct an analysis of the manufacturing industry. If our enterprises are ready to fulfill all the points of the state defense order in terms of creating a super-modern small arms capable of becoming competitive, including in the world market, the disposal of old weapon samples does not look frightening. But it often happens that we first have a total destruction, and then conversations begin and thinking about the fact that the idea was not reasonable and, it began to be implemented not in that place, not at that time. Well, who will be accused there in the state inspection, and whether there is such a person in the event of an impartial event, it is already a big question ...

In this regard, so that no double judgments on the announced occasion arose, the Ministry of Defense should guarantee that all the measures performed do not go beyond the modernization framework and do not affect the country's defense capability. And the guarantee in this case is one - long-term contracts for the production of new high-precision, efficient and reliable weapons that must be implemented.

By the way, at the time when 16 million trunks actually lie on army warehouses, in modern schools in the values \u200b\u200bof the Obzh (BZ), it was generally forbidden to conduct lessons dedicated to the study of educational weapons ... And if more recently a graduate of the school could be made in his asset. That the lessons of initial military training revealed for him to handle rifle arms for him, today many senior schoolchildren Avtomat Kalashnikov saw, except, shown in numerous computer games ...

After the collapse of the USSR, young states were inherited many of the ever-powerful military and scientific facilities. The most dangerous and secret objects were urgently canned and evacuated, and many others simply abandoned. They remained rust: After all, the economy of most newly minted states simply could not pull their content, they were not needed to anyone. Now, some of them are a kind of Mecca for stalkers, "tourist" facilities that are associated with considerable risk.

"Resident Evil": a super secret complex on the island of the Renaissance in the Aral Sea

In the time of the USSR on the island in the middle of the Aral Sea, a complex of military bio-engineering institutions engaged in developing and testing biological weapons. It was an object of such a degree of secrecy that most employees from those involved in the infrastructure of the mainland service, they simply did not know exactly where they work. On the island itself there were corps and laboratories of the Institute, Vivaria, equipment warehouses. In the town for researchers and military, very comfortable conditions for residence were created in full autonomy conditions. The island was carefully guarded by the military on land and at sea.

In 1992, the entire object was urgently conserved and left by all the inhabitants, including the protection of the object. For some time he remained the "Ghost City" until the marauders were debugged, for more than 10 years, all that was abandoned from the island. The fate of the secret developments operating on the island and their results - crops of death microorganisms - still remains a mystery.

Heavy duty "Russian Woodpecker": Doug Drug radar, Pripyat

Corponal Radar Station Arc is a radar station created in the USSR for early detection of intercontinental launches ballistic missiles on starting outbreaks (based on the radiation reflection by ionosphere). This gigantic structure was built for 5 years and was completed in 1985. The cyclope antenna is 150 meters high and a length of 800 consumed a huge amount of electricity, therefore it was built near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

For the characteristic sound on the air, the station published during operation (knock) was named Russian Woodpecker (Russian Woodpecker). The installation was built on the century and could have been successfully operating to this day, but in the reality of the RLS "Arc" worked less than a year. The object stopped his work after the SESS explosion.

Underwater shelter Submarine: Balaclava, Crimea

According to knowledgeable people, this super-secret base of submarines was a transshipment point, where submarines, including atomic, were repaired, refilled and replenished ammunition. It was a giant complex built on the century, capable of withstanding a nuclear strike, up to 14 submarine vessels could be accommodated at the same time. This military base was built in 1961 and abandoned in 1993, after which the locals were dismantled along the screws. In 2002, it was decided to arrange a museum complex on the ruins of the base, but the words did not go further. However, local diggers willingly lead to everyone there.

Zone in Latvian forests: Motina Rocket Mine, Kekava, Latvia

Quite not far from the capital of Latvia in the forest are remnants rocket complex "Dvina". Built in 1964, the object consisted of 4 launchers in a depth of about 35 meters and underground bunkers. A significant part of the premises is currently flooded, and a visit to the launcher without an experienced guide stalker is not recommended. Also represent the danger and remains of poisonous rocket fuel - heptila, according to some information remaining in the depths of launchers.

"Lost World" in the suburbs: Lopatinsky phosphate mine

The Lopatin Field of Phosphorites 90 km from Moscow was the largest in Europe. In the 30s of the last century, he began to actively develop open way. On the Lopatin career, all the main types of multi-loving excavators were used - moving along rails moving on caterpillars, and excavators, walking "with a" appitable "step. It was a gigantic development with its own railway. After 1993, the deposit was covered, throwing there all expensive imported special equipment.

The production of phosphorites led to the emergence of an incredible "unearthly" landscape. Long and deep pockets of quarries for the most part flooded. They are mixed with high sandy ridges, moving to flat, as the table, sandy fields, black, white and reddish veryans, pine forests with the right rows of suited pines. Giant excavators - "Abzetzers" resemble aliens ships, rusting in the sands of the open-air. All this makes Lopatin careers a peculiar natural and technogenic "reserve", the place is more and more busy pilgrimage of tourists.

"Well in hell": Kolska ultra-deep well, Murmansk region

Kola ultra-dust well - the deepest in the world. Its depth is 12,62 meters. Located in the Murmansk region, 10 kilometers west of the city of Polarmar. The well is drilled in the northeastern part of the Baltic shield exclusively with research objectives in the place where the lower boundary of the earth's crust comes close to the surface of the Earth. IN best years 16 research laboratories worked on the Kola ultrahooth well, personally supervised the Minister of Geology of the USSR.

A lot of interesting discoveries were made on the well, for example, that life on Earth arose, it turns out, by 1.5 billion years earlier than expected. At depths, where it was believed that no, and there could be no organic organics, they found 14 types of petrified microorganisms - the age of deep layers exceeded 2.8 billion years. In 2008, the object was abandoned, the equipment was dismantled, the destruction of the building began.

As of 2010, the well is mothballed and gradually collapsed. The cost of recovery is about a hundred million rubles. A multiple-like legends about the "Well in Hell" from the bottom of which, the cries of sinners are heard, and the borants are heard, and the borants are heard.

Russian Haarp - Multifunctional Radio Complex "Sura"

In the late 1970s, within the framework of geophysical studies near the city of Vasilsursk, the Nizhny Novgorod region was built a multifunctional radiocomplex "Sura" to effect on the Earth Ionosphere with a powerful QV radio emission. The complex "Sura", in addition to antennas, radars and radio transmitters, includes a laboratory complex, an economic unit, specialized transformer electrical substation. Classified once station on which a number is held today important research, it is thoroughly rusty and shabby, but still not abandoned the final object. One of the important areas of research conducted on the complex is the development of methods for protecting the work of technology and means of communication against ion perturbations in the atmosphere of different nature.

Currently, the station works only 100 hours a year, while on the famous American object Haarp, experiments are carried out for 2000 hours over the same period. The Nizhny Novgorod Radiophysical Institute lacks money for electricity - for one day of work, the equipment of the landfill deprives a set of monthly budget. The complex threatens not only lack of money, but also to plunder property. For the lack of due protection, the "hunters" for scrap metal is made to the territory of the station.

"Oil stones" - the sea city of oil miners, Azerbaijan

This settlement on the overpass standing right in the Caspian Sea is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's oldest oil platforms. It was built in 1949 due to the beginning of oil production from the bottom of the sea around black stones - stone ridges, barely speaking on the surface of the sea. Here are drilling rigs connected by hoists on which the settlement of the workers of oil industry is located. The village has grown, and during the flourishing period included power plants, nine-storey buildings of hostels, hospitals, culture house, park with trees, bakery, lemonade manufacturing workshop and even mosque with full-time Mullah.

The length of the overpass streets and the alleys of the sea city reaches 350 kilometers. There was no permanent population in the city, and as part of a watch shift there were up to 2,000 people. The period of decline of oil stones began with the advent of cheaper Siberian oil, which made marine prey with unprofitable. However, the naval town did not yet become a ghost city, in early 2000 there began capital repairs and even started booking new wells.

Submitted collider: Abandoned Elementary Particle Accelerator, Protvino, Moscow Region

In the late 80s, the construction of a huge accelerator of elementary particles was scheduled in the Soviet Union. Near Moscow science Center Protvino - the cities of nuclear physicists - in those years was a powerful complex of physical institutions, where scientists came from around the world. An annular tunnel of 21 kilometer long, occurring at a depth of 60 meters, was built. He is now located near Protvino. In the ready-made tunnel of the accelerator, they even began to bring the equipment, but then a series of political upheavals was killed, and the domestic "hadron collider" was still not mounted.

Institutes of the city of Protvino support the satisfactory condition of this tunnel - an empty dark rings underground. There is a lighting system, there is an active branch of the narrow-chain. Any commercial projects were offered such as an underground amusement park or even farm to grow mushrooms. However, scientists do not yet give this object - may hope for the best.
