The idea to consider the chosen topic arose after watching the movie "2012", which deals with one of the scenarios of the death of people on Earth. In addition, in 2010 our country celebrates 65 years since the end of the Great Patriotic War, the bloodiest war in history, which also influenced the choice of the project theme.
It is Russia, because of our vast territory and the richest natural storehouses, that many are potentially threatened: the expanding NATO bloc, actively militarizing China and Japan, and some Middle Eastern countries. Despite the end of the Cold War and the arms race, the problem of maintaining peace on the planet has not lost its relevance. More than 50 armed conflicts are constantly operating in the world, where people are dying, due to the global crisis, interest in cheap (if possible, free) obtaining natural resources from other countries has increased in many powers, the START-2 treaty between the Russian Federation and the United States has not yet been signed ! In this regard, the topic seems to us very actual.
Objective - to study scenarios and possible consequences for the world and Russia of a new World War. To achieve this goal, the following circle was decided tasks:
get acquainted with the latest information on the research topic;
to consider the opinions of scientists about the possible options and results of the 3rd World War;
study esoteric literature on the religious and philosophical interpretation of the "end of the world";
summarize the results obtained.

A special place in environmental pollution is nuclear pollution... In our time, radiation has become ubiquitous, all-pervading and, in a sense, endless. Not only high doses of radiation have a damaging effect, but ultra-low X-ray doses are also capable of causing various diseases in humans, including cancer. There are many sources of radioactive contamination, but the main ones are uranium mining and enrichment.
The effects of pollutants on living organisms are felt at different levels. Increased backgrounds of pollution can affect individual organisms, their organs and tissues, cells and individual intracellular structures, as well as higher levels of organization of living systems - populations and communities.
The general biological effect of radiation, depending on the dose of radiation, can be expressed in stimulation, depression and lethal effect. Ionizing radiation can cause various deformities in the early stages of the body's development. At the stage of gametogenesis - violations of this process leading to sterility. Radiation also affects the metabolism of plants and animals, affecting a wide variety of functions in organisms. So, for example, when studying the reaction of plants of crested wheatgrass (Agropyron cristatum) to various doses of irradiation, we found a higher content of sugars, ascorbic acid, chlorophyll than in control plants. Acting on the physical and chemical structure of chromosomes, radiation causes hereditary changes - mutations. Numerous studies have shown that the effects of radioactive exposure largely depend on the radiosensitivity of organisms, on the type of radiation and on the irradiation regime, i.e. from the distribution of the dose in time or from its rate.
The most important feature of all environmental pollutants is their ability to cause hereditary changes - mutations.
In addition to the aforementioned consequences of the use of nuclear weapons, one can also name electromagnetic impulses and the impact on the human psyche. The electromagnetic pulse destroys most of the known types of storage batteries, which will lead to equipment failure.
A thermonuclear bomb has somewhat different consequences. Thermonuclear weapon - a type of weapons of mass destruction, the destructive power of which is based on the use of energy fusion reactions light elements into heavier ones (for example, fusion of two nuclei of deuterium atoms (heavy hydrogen) into one nucleus of a helium atom), in which a colossal amount of energy is released. Having the same damaging factors as nuclear weapons, thermonuclear weapons have a much higher explosion power. In theory, it is only limited by the number of available components. It should be noted that radioactive contamination from a thermonuclear explosion is much weaker than from an atomic explosion, especially in relation to the power of the explosion. If there is no war, we will still eat it all up, we will not lose anything. But if there are any disasters, then this food supply will help us. And if something happens, then after this 2 years we will not be able to eat anything due to radiation. It is also necessary to have a supply of drinking water.

That is, the most valuable things are land, water, food. These are things that have true value in times of natural disasters, disasters, or during a world war.

In the course of work on the project, we considered the concept, history of studying the problem of a new World War, potential scenarios and consequences of the 3rd World War. We also studied the interpretations of the 3rd World War by leading scientists, philosophers and religious leaders. Comparative geographical and historical approaches, modeling method and problem-search one were used.
The goal that we have set for ourselves, to study the scenarios and possible consequences for the world and Russia of a new World War, we consider achieved.
The actual verification of the hypothesis of the total destruction of the human race during a new world war is impossible and unnecessary, but according to authoritative assurances of scientists, if the 3rd World War happens, it will be the last for humanity.
The main conclusions The work is that in the next 15-20 years (as long as there is a relative parity of weapons of mass destruction between the United States and the Russian Federation, the most armed countries in the world), we should not expect a new war. If a new global war does happen, the United States, China, the Russian Federation will participate in it, and, from our point of view, the new war will NOT be unleashed by Russia! World War III threatens mankind with complete destruction, and the problem of maintaining peace on Earth is one of the leading global problems
During the work on the project, we learned how to work with different types of information sources, with the Microsoft Office software package (Word, Power Point, Excel), with the photo editor Photoshop 8.0, gained experience in research work.
The materials, results and conclusions of the project can be used in the educational process during the passage of some sections of physics, geography, history, contribute to an increase in general culture and broaden the horizons of students of all age categories. “In fact, such missiles represent a completely new class of weapons that can instantly change the strategic balance of power,” the expert says.
The creation of a hypersonic vehicle in the United States is taking place within the framework of the Prompt Global Strike strategy (global non-nuclear strike), which implies a massive strike on the enemy's infrastructure in the shortest possible time, such as blitzkrieg 2.0. In 1973, Nixon promised Saudi Arabia military protection for their oil fields, thereby gaining Saudi Arabia as a partner that sold oil to other states, but for US dollars. Other countries found themselves in a stalemate, as they were obliged to supply the necessary goods to the United States, and the United States, in turn, paid with money printed out of thin air. Further, this currency was called the petrodollar.
All countries were involuntarily dependent on America, since everyone needed oil. In 1991, the United States entered Iraq, and 100 hours after the invasion, the war ended. Iraq was literally wiped off the face of the Earth, the United States destroyed everything that is necessary for the country's life. While Clinton was in power, the people of Iraq were dying of hunger, disease, and lack of minimal medical services. 10 years later, in 2000, Iraq announced that it was no longer selling oil for the American currency. Now he was going to sell his oil exclusively for euros.
The United States did not tolerate such a trick of Iraq, as a result of which, after a short time, all US citizens were convinced that Iraq was hiding Al-Qaeda and that they had the most powerful weapons of mass destruction. On March 20, 2003, the United States entered Iraq again, this time Iraq was able to respond to the Americans, albeit with heavy losses for itself. The Americans again began to control the sale of Iraqi oil, which again began to be sold for the American currency.
Iraq was under occupation for 9 years. America's plans were to conquer not only Iraq, but also Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Iran. In February 2011, Gaddafi hopes to get rid of the dollar and the euro, for which he creates a group called Dinard. According to Gaddafi's plan, the countries that were part of this group abandoned world currencies and sold their goods and services exclusively for gold dinars.
After such a move, Libya came under fire from NATO countries and the United States, and Gaddafi was killed. In February 2012, Iran made a final attempt to get rid of the dollar, announcing that this time Iranian oil would be sold for gold. The US again attempted to destroy the Iranian economy.
