The idea to consider the chosen topic arose after watching the movie "2012", which deals with one of the scenarios of the death of people on Earth. In addition, in 2010, our country celebrates 65 years since the end of the Great Patriotic War, the bloodiest war in history, which also influenced the choice of the project theme.
It is Russia, because of our vast territory and the richest natural storehouses, that many are potentially threatened: the expanding NATO bloc, actively militarizing China and Japan, and some Middle Eastern countries. Despite the end of the Cold War and the arms race, the problem of maintaining peace on the planet has not lost its relevance. More than 50 armed conflicts are constantly operating in the world, where people are dying, due to the global crisis, interest in cheap (if possible, free) obtaining natural resources from other countries has increased in many powers, the START-2 treaty between the Russian Federation and the United States has not yet been signed ! In this regard, the topic seems to us very actual.
