Dear friends,

In 2016-2017 The Moscow Olympiad of Biology Schoolchildren for 5-8 Classes will be held according to the following schedule:

Rules for holding

Moscow Olympiad of Biology Schoolchildren

2016-2017

General provisions

Since 2013 Biological Faculty of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov takes part in Moscow Olympiad of schoolchildren on biology 5-8 classes. Moscow Olympiad of Schoolchildren (MOSH) on biology for students of 5-8 classes takes place in 2 rounds.

The tasks of the Internet tour are compiled by the Methodological Commission of the Olympiad. The evaluation criteria are developed and installed the jury of the Olympiad. For each class will be their tasks. When creating tasks, the authors are focused on the school curriculum of the corresponding classes. However, due to the fact that the concept of the Olympiad implies a somewhat large horizon of the participant than the framework of the school program, then the questions may include individual elements requiring self-mastering of the material and a certain share of inquisitive.

The Organizing Committee holds an Internet tour based on the GBOU center of pedagogical skills and the Moscow Center for Continuing Mathematical Education. Information support of all stages of the Olympiad will occur on the Olympiad website http: // Site and on the site of the biological faculty http://www.bio.msu.ru. Clarifications to the Rules of the Olympics

Based on issues that sound in your letters, we denote some important points in the Olympics procedure:

  1. Information on the commissioning of absentee and full-time tours is posted on the website of the Biology Olympiad and on the Biological Faculty website of Moscow State University http://www.bio.msu.ru/doc/index.php?id\u003d452. Other addresses are not related to the informational support of our Olympiad.
  1. Please note that registration on the site http://reg.olimpiada.ru is needed not only to participate in the absentee tour. The same registration will be useful to you in order to later view scored points and your answers for each task. Please write on paper after the first registration and save your username and password on your computer. Do not lose them - they will need you! Request for parents to help their children, especially students in grades, at first registration on the site. If you register, you will need to specify the email address to which your password can be sent in case you suddenly forget.
  1. Please do not notice when registering in the column "are the winner or prize of last year" the meaning "yes" if you are not a winner or the winner of the last round last year. The organizing committee verifies the participants on the lists of the winners of the full-time stage of last year.
  1. Participants who lost their username and password from a personal account can request a login recovery registered with a specific email address on the page: http://reg.olimpiada.ru/login/remind-login (by email specified by you during registration, A letter will come with a password to enter your personal account). In case of problems with access to the personal account, participants may contact technical support: [Email Protected]
  1. When performing tasks of the correspondence tour, please read the tasks text carefully. It is clearly indicated in which sequence you need to give answers to the task. With automatic computer checking of the correspondence tour tasks, the sequence of the letters entered by you and numbers is very important. If you break this sequence specified in the task, you automatically get 0 points for the answer. Please be careful! Success in life is associated not only with good erudition, but also in many ways with the development of attention.
  1. According to the results of the correspondence stage, the status of either winner or a participant is postponed in the Personal Account. The status of the prize at this stage does not exist. All winners automatically pass on the full-time tour.
  1. Your points and status (winner, winner 2 or 3 degrees, participant) on the results of the correspondence and full-time stage can be viewed in the Personal Account, which you created to pass the remote stage, on the site http://reg.olimpiada.ru
  1. If the participant has registered and executed tasks under one name, and then registered again under a different name and re-executed tasks (for example, to dial a higher score), then the repetition of the tour is not counted. Such actions are regarded by the Organizing Committee as a scam, and the unfinished participant can be removed from the competition. Points are counted only for the first (one-time) passage of the correspondence stage!
  1. If on the Olympics website it is announced that the results of the participants are laid out in the Personal Account, but there are still no points and status in your personal account, with great probability it means that you are most likely registered on the site twice (for example, before the correspondence stage, and Then again during its execution). You performed a task under one profile (with one password), and the results are trying to look at the second "empty" profile (with another password). Remember the second password or contact Technical Support: [Email Protected] . Keep in mind that you need to register on the site http://reg.olimpiada.ru only once.
  1. The winners of the correspondence stage take part in the face of the tour (having the status of the winner in the Personal Account).
  1. According to the order of the Ministry of Education "Winners and Conducts of the Olympics of the previous school year, ..., to participate in the Olympiad, allowing its qualifying (e) stage (s). Therefore, winners and prize-winners of last time last year (2016) have the right to participate in full-time tour of this year, bypassing the correspondence stage. However, if the winner or winner of last year is still involved in the correspondence stage, but does not gain a passing score, he cannot go further to the full-time tour. We emphasize that the admission to a full-time tour of such a schoolboy would be an unfair step towards those participants who scored the required score. Thus, the winners and winners of the full-time tour of last year there are two options: either participate on a par with everyone in a correspondence tour of the general rules, or not to pass a completely correspondence stage, but to come only to the full-time tour. Both options for participation are permissible, but the organizing committee would like to draw the attention of teachers and parents that the second option (participation, bypassing the correspondence stage) is self-deception for the participant. First, the tasks of the absentee tour are close to the level of question of the full-time stage and are training of participants and verifying their readiness. Regardless of the result, these tasks are interesting and useful to schoolboy for self-development, if it is really interested in the subject. It would be unreasonable to limit yourself in such training. Secondly, the tasks of each next class are very different in difficulty from the previous one (completely new areas of knowledge - nerds, zoology, physiology) are added. Therefore, the winner in the 5th grade of last year in the field of environmental education may not be at all in the tasks of the 6th grade of Botanic, which are not very simple and demanding real knowledge according to reviews. Do not deceive yourself that last year's laurels are applicable in this year. It is necessary to work intensively and train, including participating in the correspondence stage. Thirdly, the statistics of previous years shows that the effectiveness of tasks in full-time tour winners does not exceed this from newcomer participants. Thus, the Organizing Committee strongly recommends that the winners of last year do not relax, constantly train and participate on a par with everyone in the correspondence tour. Only this option is a truly sporty approach to the Olympics.
  1. Please note that the commendable letter of last year, unfortunately, does not give the right to participate in full-time tour, bypassing the correspondence.
  1. Winners of other biology Olympics do not have the right to participate in full-time round, bypassing the correspondence stage.
  1. Winners and prize-winners of last year last year, who did not pass the correspondence stage of this year, should also register with personal offices (http: //reg.olimpiada.ru) to participate in the full-time tour (http: //reg.olimpiada.ru) to participate in the current biology Olympiad. Only in this case they will be able to see their points on the full-time tour in the Personal Account.
  1. Last year, unfortunately, at the prayer, cases of deceiving members of the organizing committee during registration by participants who did not pass by the correspondence tour and were not winners / prize-winning tour last year. At registration, such participants argued that they had the winner's status in the Personal Account, which was not true. We draw attention to the fact that we are working on lists of participants in correspondence and full-time stages, as well as lists of winners / medalists of last year. Unfair participants, and these last year there were about 10 people, in any case they will not fall into the category of awarded. In their personal offices, they will stand the status of "outside the competition." We hope that next year unfair participants will be less.
  1. We remind you that Mosh on biology is not included in the approved list of Olympics, so on the website of the Russian Council, the Olympics cannot be mentioned about our diplomas. The Olympiad does not give any privileges when entering universities. It aims solely on the development of the interest of schoolchildren to biology and to the knowledge of the surrounding world. For this reason, at the full-time stage, we give the guys tasks for an expanded answer, and not just test questions. Some of the tasks are close to those that the guys may meet in the future at the Lomonosov Olympics and Cororage Mountains, held by Moscow State University.
  1. Diplomas of winners and medals, as well as commendable letters, together with prizes, are awarded on the official award procedure. In advance, the organizing committee does not provide any diplomas or electronic samples. For the passage of remote (qualifying) phase of individual letters is not provided.
  1. Please note that the remote tour of the Olympiad is open. Schoolchildren not only from Moscow can take part in it, but also from other regions of Russia and neighboring countries. Despite the fact that the Organizing Committee of the Olympiad at the moment cannot provide the passage and settlement in Moscow of participants from the regions, all the winners of the distance stage are invited to a full-time tour. Thus, according to the results of the last Olympiad, schoolchildren from Tula, Yaroslavl and Vologda, and the guys from 28 regions, as well as from Kazakhstan and the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic, were involved in the remote stage.

We wish you success!
