Викторина по английскому языку для 5 класса “Праздники. Рождество”
Долгих Марина Cергеевна, учитель английского языка МОУ “Школа №62 города Донецка”.
Описание работы: данная викторина “Праздники. Рождество” предназначена для учеников 5 класса, может использоваться в рамках творческого проекта для предметной недели английского языка. Ученики знакомятся с произведением Ч. Диккенса “Рождественская песнь в прозе”, выполняют разнообразные задания. Материал будет полезен учителям английского языка, а также родителям воспитанников.
Цель: закрепление лексического материала и развитие коммуникативной компетенции
Задачи:
- активизировать словарь учащихся,
-расширить кругозор учеников о произведении Ч. Диккенса “Рождественская песнь в прозе”,
- развивать навыки говорения, чтения, письма и аудирования,
-формировать умения работать в группе, развивать логическое мышление, языковую догадку, память, внимание, воображение,
-воспитывать чувство коллективизма.
Оборудование: раздаточный материал, карточки.
Ход викторины.

Задание 1. Конкурс песни.
Конкурс песни проводится среди команд.
Задание 2. Найди ключевые слова и составь предложения с ними.
Ученики, работая в группах, выполняют данное задание.
Group 1:
We like to prepare Christmas
presents
for our best friends.
Group 2:
We enjoy decorating our Christmas tree
.
Group 1:
Some boys are making two snowmen
in the yard at the present moment.
Group 2:
They bought Christmas toys

Задание 3. Составление диалогов по теме “Праздники”
Ученики составляют диалоги о своих любимых праздниках.
Group 1:
- What’s your favourite holiday?
- My favourite holidays are Easter and Christmas What about you?
- I like New Year and Christmas very much.
- Why do you like these holidays?
- I like to prepare for New Year and Christmas with my family. We cook, buy presents for friends, decorate our New Year or Christmas tree, organize different contests together. It seems to me that these holidays are wonderful. Do you agree with me?
- Yes, I do.
Задание 4. Конкурс переводчиков.
Teacher: Charles Dickens, one of the most famous English writers, wrote “ A Christmas Carol” in 1843. This story took a month for Dickens to write. The short story contains a very strong moral about the importance of generosity and symbolizes all the good things of Christmas. The task of our teams is to translate some episodes.

1. Ebenezer Scrooge didn’t refuse his nephew’s invitation for dinner on Christmas Day.
2. He was greedy. Scrooge didn’t like giving money to poor people.
3. His favourite holiday was Christmas.
4. Ebenezer Scrooge saw some ghosts at night. They showed him different scenes from his life.
5. The ghosts could not help Ebenezer Scrooge.
6. He became kind and generous.

На следующем этапе команды составляют друг другу вопросы. За каждый правильно составленный вопрос и ответ команды получают баллы. На продвинутом этапе можно использовать задание для команд – выбрать роли и разыграть любую сценку.

Презентация на тему: Викторина по английскому языку для 5 класса "Праздники. Рождество"
Уважаемые читатели! Я продолжаю создавать линейку Рождественских уроков-игр для разных параллелей. Стараюсь организовать уроки так, чтобы дети понимали, как формировалась Рождественская традиция, знали об исторических и культурологических аспектах, способствующих ее становлению. В данной викторине ученики знакомятся с символами, пришедшими из кельтских праздников; оригинальными рождественскими символа; влиянием литературы на становление рождественской традиции в викторианскую эпоху и в ХХ веке.Цель викторины обучающая, а не контролирующая. Т.е. информацию о рождестве дети изучают, а для ответов на вопросы им необходимы знания по английскому языку и общеучебные умения. Формат большинства вопросов соответствует заданиям ГИА и ЕГЭ .
Ход игры
- Делим класс на 2-4 команды. На стол каждой команды кладем набор карточек с цифрами 1, 2, 3, 4.
- Учитель открывает вопрос и читает текст задания. Ученики обдумывают ответ на вопрос (время – 40 секунд).
- Звучат два сигнала: предупредительный и сигнал к сдаче ответа. Команды сдают учителю карточки с номером выбранного ими ответа.
- Учитель демонстрирует классу карточки, чтобы были видны ответы каждой команды.
- Учитель (или один из учеников) нажимает “show the answer” и открывает ответ. Командам, ответившим правильно, начисляется 1 очко.
- Нажимаем квадратик в правом нижнем углу и открываем следующий вопрос.
- В конце игры команды подсчитывают очки и определяют победителя.
