The fact is that our spoken language is very different from the language of the Holy Scriptures, and such a concept as "the servant of God" came to us from the Bible, moreover, from the most ancient part of it, which is called the "Old Testament". In the Old Testament, "servant of God" is the title of the kings and prophets of Israel. Calling themselves "servants of God", the kings and prophets of Israel thus testified that they are no longer subject to anyone, they do not recognize anyone else's power over themselves except the power of God - they are His servants, they have their own special mission in the world. There is such a parable in the Gospel: about the evil winegrowers. It tells how the master planted a vineyard, encouraged the workers to work in this vineyard, cultivate it, and every year he sent his slaves to them so that they could look at the work and take accountability.
